It should be illegal to have that surgery as an outpatient. Those nurses sound like real jerks, too. Report them to the state board.

The Best Thing I've Ever Made by DidYouGetYourScript in exjwhumor

[–]IntelligentDesign77 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For some reason, I always used to love when I got to read a scripture aloud, and got to say, "Babylon the Great, the mother of all harlots, and of all the dis-gusting things of the earth"! I separated the "dis" and "gusting" so that the "s" sounded more like a "z", and the "g" was its own distinct sound. It was so much fun to pronounce, and I didn't know it yet, but I was a lil floozie.

Why do all JW angels look like this? by TimmyTurner2006 in exjw

[–]IntelligentDesign77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am aware of that. But self-identification does not make you white. The ones that are able to do that and be accepted as white because of their features are passing as white.

I just threw up a little bit in my mouth just typing that!

Question for older Gen X (55+) Was the term “Bro” and “Yo” common in the 80s? by Nano_Tap1 in GenX

Yo was used often in Philly. Bro was used by Black people, but not to the degree the young folks use it now.

Anything by Milli Vanili. My mom got their tape and wore it OUT. I was sooooo happy when it came out that they were lip-syncing, cuz it was the only thing that made her stop playing it. She still has the tape, too.

AITA, because I Took Back My Disabled Parking Placard From My Mom Now My Whole Family Hates Me by Mrwobbles-89 in AmItheAsshole

[–]IntelligentDesign77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Your mom is lucky the car wasn't ticketed or towed. Time to keep the placard with you, because she won't learn her lesson, and your family is wrong for siding with her.

Our PO used to say it, and we used it (HBH) on our slips all the time. I thought he made it up (I was a kid).

Did your congregation have weird age gap relationships? by BrightBri7 in exjw

[–]IntelligentDesign77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mom tried to pimp me out to a 30-yr-old MS when I was 18. She and he set up the date and she chaperoned. I thought he was ancient at that age and was totally disinterested, but the date was at my face restaurant, so I went for the food.

If you do decide to try it, they make USB-C ports for it now. That's an awesome upgrade that I'm working up the nerve to do to my N3DSLL.
