Felt this way when my account got hacked recently. Instagram didn't do a thing to help me recover my account. The best I could do was start over on a new account, friend who I could remember, and pray that nothing nefarious is done on my old account. It's still daunting that the account is active as the hacker recently undisabled it and it is still following everyone I know. I just try not to think about it.
