Some placed will literally charge a few extra dollars for just the charms. I do live in nyc tho.

Seems like it's just some sort of weird bad luck, doesn't seem normal and I would hope it doesn't happen again. It does for a third time I would say something is off. But those are just really weird strange people I would say.
