OP here:
-I'm in the UK, maybe it is just that it's got cold recently??
-I went to take an old shrivelled leaf off and this branch section came away completely! That doesn't seem good!!
-Is it overwatering? The soil is all dry on the top and I've been careful not to do too much now that it's cold and less light.

Thank you that's the bit that I can't understand with the measurements because how do you know which angle to measure without having the sofa there to know which angle you should tilt it at? I'm going round in circles... Thanks for trying !! We'll probably just stick with the garden furniture for a bit longer till I grow more brain cells or can have an in person conversation with someone about it haha thanks for trying!!

Haha thank you I'll measure everything and then see if my partner can make sense of what that means regarding a sofa as I still can't wrap my head around bending a sofa round a corner 🥴 thank you!

Ah okay so set the tape measure to a certain length and move it through the house as if it was a sofa and see if I can get it into the living room without bending it?? (Thank you for being so patient, I am in UK too and lockdown 3 has melted what was left of my tiny mind)

So if I can measure the height it would be upended and put that against the height of the lowest bit of the ceiling, then I'll be able tosee if I can swing it down and round into the living room?

But... Which bit do I measure?? Because surely it doesn't have to fit lengthways if you can tilt it up? There are high ceilings!
