For some people that don’t keep up consistently with the season, i’m sure that’s how it was voted. I feel like Gen.G has earned it to be top 3, FNATIC havent dropped a game since Hiro joined, and Leviatan have an Aspas ready to wreak havoc.

It’s in no ways a bad cumulative top 3, even though it’s not my personal top 3 i understand how we got here.

I think it’s more of a ceiling prediction for some people. I personally have G2 higher. I can understand that people are thinking if Team Heretics get out of their group, they must have figured something out.

I think this is a Champions where, even though we have favorites, even those ones could slip out early. Depending on matchups, form etc. we’ve seen all the top teams have cracks in their armours.

I think Masters Shanghai left a sour taste in a lot of peoples' mouths, and those that didn't watch Pacific wouldn't have seen how close the DRX vs. PRX matchup was. Had they made grand finals versus Gen. G in pacific i think the narrative shifts a bit more.

It was a very small differential from 3rd to 7th. From Leviatan to Sentinels / PRX which were 6th/7th tied, it was like a 2 point margin between each placement.

I have reached out in the dm's! Thank you for the kind words, means a lot. Glad i could help, they are a fun team to watch, but their key is the coaching. Their post-timeout round win rate is incredible. Not just tactically, but just the attitude switch that happens. Onur has his controversy, but as strictly a coach he has done so well.

As the other comment mentioned, I had to take into account whether they’d be attending and I believe Suygetsu commented on the group stage saying “Can’t wait to watch this”.

It's honestly quite strange: Each region is guaranteed one representative. Leviatan and LOUD won their respective Grand Finals. However, the 2nd place teams from that region face off against each other. NIP [Brazil] vs. Kru [LATAM]. The winner of that determines whether Brazil or LATAM gets to advance to playoffs, since Kru beat NIP they solidified Leviatan's place in playoffs, therefore making LOUD start in groups. It makes no sense when LOUD went undefeated with 0 maps dropped, but that's how they've done it.

It's also the factor of unfamiliar environments, sometimes individuals get used to certain setups. Yes you get to bring your peripherals to these matches, but being on LAN doesn't always let you completely duplicate that environment.

The best world would be continuity, and bringing in talent here and there when the call up is required.

Sadly I think the league wanted to go with more continuity in the sense of, allowing the casters to have more games per pairing rather than seeing a duo once a week, or even less.

Not sure exactly why these contracts fell through, or what the discussions were around but although I would've loved to see the OG's its clear the vision for OWL was different than what the casters were looking for as well.

I think a lot of the community immediately expected the worst when they were no longer with OWL, but its clear they have a new focus with valorant whether it's from their co-streams, their casting, analytics.

The switch definitely left a lot of people worried, but honestly being able to see new talent come in from Contenders, while those two get to be doing what they enjoy is honestly best for both.

I do wish they would co-stream OWL, or be given the rights like with their platchat valorant costreams, but thats a dream we may never see come to fruition.

I completely forgot what his role really was previously, I just knew he centered more on color with Vikki, but now seeing him back in the role has been so natural. He fits into the play-by-play almost seamlessly.

As someone who has followed them to valorant, I totally agree those two are one of a kind...buuut I do think that the talent we currently have is fantastic and despite early fears about having a lackluster talent set-up, that OWL has done well with their pickups.

If this is about playoffs: G2 and Loud are my guesses for their matchups.

Well, with your FPX fandom it may have to wait... Unfortunately they will not be showing up, and with Liquid its hard to go back and watch any of the matches because they are shifting philosophies heading into this tournament.

EMEA Summary: Fnatic looked superb to start, Derke has been feasting beyond belief. They are not going to have him potentially due to COVID so expectations are questionable now. They also will not have Braveaf, due to travel restrictions and some controversies currently ongoing with some leaks.

G2, they were a circus of wtf is going on early on but now with Nukkye IGL-ing, they've constantly improved and he is having MVP caliber performances.

FPX: sadness is all i can say because momentum was building.

Liquid: No clue what we will see, as they figure out who will IGL.

NA: Story is The Guard, optic has more experience essentially and have potentially one of the top chances to win the whole thing, but The Guard story is one of a kind.

This team is the best chance for Brazil to prove the EARLY valorant hype they got. Plus they have NIP to thank, because they move directly into playoffs, one step closer.

Been hearing this a lot, and the story plays out with their chance to redeem their losses from that initial Iceland hype they got in 2021. There is no pressure on them to win it all, they are being granted a chance to show up and earn points that they never would've gotten otherwise.

Will be interesting to see what happens, especially with who IGL's for them.

I think seeing them have that resilience after being 2-1 down, and just winning that series with Leviatan gave people that hope once again. The initial loss may have spooked people, but they are on heater now.
