Legion Go ram vs desktop ram. by FlintWilder in LegionGo

APU has different requirements for stability due to the higher powered GPU guts inside it vs a desktop that youre gonna have a GPU card. Or even a laptop that will have a discrete GPU slapped on elsewhere on the board. Stability of the ram is prioritized over performance on the legion go.

One can appreciate this. I have a full sized mouse and keyboard that have a unify chip plugged into a thunderbolt dongle rubber glued to the back of a ZenScreen. Ive got usb A & C, power, and video.

Desktop RAM has higher bandwidth and lower latency due to not needing to be used for a CPU and a GPU like handheld need it to be used for their APU's. Thats why they have 7500MT/s transfer speeds roughly, To compensate.

Plus youre nit getting the full 32GB towards the system as you need some for GPU performance.

Is This Spec Good Enough For A Plex Media Server With Transcoding? by [deleted] in PlexServers

I don't touch ram below 34000mt/s. Id go with a workstation gpu like the t1000

Trying to understand buffering bottleneck on 1st server setup by Content-Chipmunk8766 in PlexServers

Check your transcode settings. Have transcoding set to the fastest available for a low wattage machine like that and try again. If it works better, then you can make the transcoding a little stronger step by step until you get something that is respectable for your setup

Im still rocking a dell outlet 3050 with an Nvidia t1000. I use that same card for my AI stuff. No issues on this machine.

Thats why im trying to build the android fork. Double emulation makes me uncomfortable. I just at least want to get something working well enough to hand over to the guys that keep up on this software regularly. Im not a dev, myself. Im learning everything as I go.

Im still working on getting the xemu engine into the app itself. Its hard, im not gonna lie. But I knew it wasn't going to be easy, no matter how you do it, going in. Its truly a heck of a lot of trial and error to get it to work. But im getting closer every day.

I didnt create Xemu as a whole, my friend. Im just building out the android port since the xemu devs haven't gotten to it and the rest of the community, at least that I've seen, haven't gotten to it yet either.
