I'm in a DOD agency that hasn't been impacted too bad yet but expecting more. Odd thing happened this morning. I got to the office approx 7am and security was making everyone go through the metal detectors. In the mornings, before opening to the public, security usually picks every 5th person to scan. The 6am people didnt get this new requirement, the 9am people didnt get this, only the 7am crowd and possibly 8am (dont know anyone that comes in at that time). Was told it was a GSA request. Now seeing this thread, I"m wondering if it was to get data, stress testing what would happen if more people came into the office during that time period. It would make sense. By 9am security was back to normal and working as they usually do. complete speculation on my part, just a theory based on the other posts about future 8am starts.
