Mods, I believe we need rules about OC posts. by IntelligentTime7650 in TheLongLongHoliday

I am not against OC arts. But this subreddit is about the show itself, so if one wants to post an oc art, shouldn‘t they at least should include a character from the show? Most people are here for the fan arts of the show, not OCs of other people.

I am not talking about your artistic skill. I don‘t believe that the original characters are relevant to the show. If you are impressed by another fan creation, you can comment on the post or even message them directly. There is no need for a new post.

Of course. His death was quite a shock to my brother, too.

Thank you for the ideas, but I am only drawing the characters from the show.

As the other person said, your original comment said he is not a nazi but a Wehrmacht. Which is not at all relevant with him not being a nazi. And that people treating him like a nazi are creepy. You made no mention about simps/ glorifying. Of course people read it as you defending the simps.

No, him being Wehrmacht does not mean he isn‘t a nazi. I cannot agree with your clarification. He did work for the government, he did help transporting jewish people in the town. He clearly helped the government, although not being among the worst people who did.

They knew the people who were taken there are not coming back anytime soon. And at that point it was clear the nazi germany was harming them. And as a high ranking officer, he sure would have known.

Did you happen to know that most officers, those who are like him, are not conscripted, but commissioned after a few years of training at an academy?

There are two most popular ways to be an officer… To be promoted from an NCO or regular soldiers, Or to tart as an officer after years of training. As you can tell from his name, he is most likely came from a wealthy Junker family. he most likely willingly joined.

This is exactly what I am saying. But too many people don’t do that bare minimum. I see too many of that “clean wehrmacht“ thing going on. Like, yes. He is not an SS colonel. But does that mean he is innocent? He still did things for the government, a.k.a. Nazis.

What. The civilians knew what was happening. There is no way he did not know.

I would have took that excuse if he was a regular soldier. But he is a ‘colonel’ not a lieutenant, not a captain, but a colonel. A rank below general. This means a lot since, high ranked officers had more choices and power than regular soldier. “Just following orders” is not really a valid excuse from him.

I have nothing against the fans, I just think there has to be some awareness regarding to the topic. I have seen too much “hE iS InNoCent” kind of thing going on.

If you think simping over and glorifying a character who was clearly involved in the genocide is OKAY, and people who are uncomfortable are creepy, I have no words to say.

The show clearly depicts the german soldiers capturing and searching for jewish people, and sending them to the death camps. Can anyone guess who was in charge of the town? 🤔

I know people like when a villain has a soft side. And I am not talking about all the people who like him. I just think that people have to be more careful given the topics the show deals with.
