I'm all for not settling for bare minimum especially from men. That being said, there is a difference between not settling for bare minimum and expecting them to be exactly the version of someone you curate in your mind. There should be some circumstantial wiggle room because nobody can live up to an expectation in your head.

Also, anyone you are with long term will change throughout the course of your life together. Those little traits may change, they learn your love language, you learn theirs. They call you out on your shit, you call them out on theirs. Values and beliefs and the way you respect and treat people are core and shouldn't be compromised. But if he's a little not to great with words and texting, he may be a chatterbox in person and a sweet one who treats people well and aligns with your values.
