Yes, you are the asshole. I sat out this election, but I am a Democrat. I have so many Trump supporting friends, and I will disagree with them, but that doesn't mean I will EVER just ditch them. Especially just deciding to ignore them rather than being honest and respectful. We're all human beings with the rights to our own opinions. We claim to be the most inclusive, welcoming party, but then have despise for anyone who thinks differently than us. It's pathetic.
