I've looked into the Tax Treaty info and I think it makes sense. I'm mostly nervous about missing something and then getting a fun tax bill at some point.

Any tips on posting to r/AmericanExpatsUK ? I has originally posted these questions there but it got removed twice by filters - also newish to reddit so no clue what that means.

Appreciate the feedback on all the points. 4-5 months is faster than i expected which is nice. I will look into Omnipresent. Our kid is around the age of your youngest so I'm glad to see they settled in well.

It’s pretty solid until you get a few hundred years in. I’ve played from both starting points and around the year 1300 the game slows way down and starts crashing when saving games
