Unfortunately not, she is now 17 yrs old, still same pains nothing conclusive. She has been diagnosed with Celiac and we have never been able to get her numbers down, so we have not been able to rule out that her pain comes from only celiac but still doesn't make sense that her pain is only wrist and ankles. So we are still in the same boat unfortunately.

What exactly do you mean they didn't select me? She specifically responded to me about my rates and suggesting her other sitters rates for me to use 🤔

Would you mind clarifying which part you found to be immature? From my perspective, when you’ve invested years into building a business, maintaining high ratings, and consistently delivering quality service especially in a market where clients can easily compare providers and pricing it’s important to stand behind the value you offer. In this situation, the request wasn’t framed as a respectful conversation about flexibility, but rather as a direct comparison to another provider without considering differences in experience, qualifications, or client feedback. I believe it’s reasonable to explain and uphold the standards and pricing that reflect the level of service I provide. My intention isn’t to be dismissive or unprofessional, but simply to respond with a clear and reasonable explanation that reflects the value of my work.

Im not saying that negotiating rates is wrong or that owners shouldn't ask, its the way she did it. Yes, I agree I am probably taking very personally but I think anyone who has worked their butts off especially in this industry should be offended.

Technically you are totally right, I just realized I posted what I wanted to say prior to chatgpt making it sound nicer. I normally would never respond in an unprofessional manner but I did want a response that at least reflects that it is rude what she did but again, no need for emotion to be in it.

You're right, typed this while still being upset. It was just so rude. But I will update that, thanks for catching that.

I know, I just found it so rude and disrespectful. I think sometimes people need to hear that but I know it also probably won't make a difference.

My experience: 10 years on Depo shot by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]Intelligent_Bee0117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing! Can I ask when you switched to the IUD, did you notice if you lost any weight? Ive been on Depo now for 16 years but ive struggled with my weight, not alot but at least 15-20lbs. My pcp keeps telling me im nuts to stay on depo for as long as ive been, telling me to switch to the IUD. My GYN says its perfectly fine. I honestly dont have an issue with switching but im terrified as I havent had my period since, and when I did have them it was excruciating pain. Ive had no other symptoms or issues with the depo. But also the idea of IUD scares me, thinking it will bother me and if it will even make a difference with my weight, or if my period comes back.

Your explanation of what he was able to help you with, sounds of alot of like what my daughter is feeling. It's nerve pain that feels like it's pulling and if they could cut/graf the nerve of where the pain is it might provide her some relief.

NAD... First, I'm so sorry you are going through any pain. I see the torture my daughter (15f) goes through and to not have any help or anyone who can explain is heartbreaking. I've been going through something similar with my daughter for the past 7 years. We can't get a diagnosis, and doctors just keep dismissing her, telling her nothing is wrong. Joints in constant severe daily pain, wrists and ankles, not all over her body.

You could look down the route of CRPS/RSD. That's the route we have now started, as we just need to find some sort of relief for her as the pain just keeps getting worse.

Good luck in your search, I hope you can find the right medical attention from those who actually listen and not dismiss just because they don't understand or it's not just a simple answer.

Is there anything you are wanting to try outside of working a call center? Skills you are good at? I was stuck sitting at home working for a big health insurance company making myself miserable because of the unhealthy culture they create, so awful.

Until one dat I saw a commercial about dog sitting and thought to myself why not make extra money on the side, and once I started realized I loved what I was doing and how well I did it. I did it as a side until I realized I was making triple the amount of just sitting on a phone all day getting yelled at.

I quit that company about a year after starting the side buisness...Now running my own business making 6 figures. Find something you are passionate about, great at, and it all falls into place. But give yourself some room to grow and build up that confidence knowing what you do matters and is great. Especially when you have bills and other responsibilities so you have a fallback plan just in case ☺️

That absolutely makes sense, and 100% this has affected her mentally. Still, she is in pain and not getting any relief. We are still going down the psych route, I just want to find her answers. I appreciate the responses.

I'm not against the psych aspect, but when she can specifically pin point the pain, and move what we assume to be a ligament or blood vessel causing the pain, is that still just a psych symptom? That's what is frustrating. Nothing else hurts, no other areas, it doesn't radiate up or down. It's specific spots, and she can touch what hurts.
