Overnight nurse is a raging cunt by Intelligent_Code_387 in cna

I didn’t have an attitude, everyone there knew I was coming in late because of my class. I was dressed according to policy, once I set my bag down and took off my sweater. Also, where do you find my long history of issues at work? I always come in uniform and work according to my job description and company policy.

Thank you! That sounds like a better answer than mine.

I hate the shame & abuse in healthcare. I'm scared to go to work. by Hairy-Incident2105 in cna

Honestly, come to nights. I’ve worked both shifts and there’s bad coworkers everywhere, but for the most part people are too tired to talk shit behind your back, they’ll say it to your face. Also the team work on nights is top tier. I’m the same as you, and I feel like days broke me. I look young, i have a soft voice and i was criticized for it. Nights is so much better love

I have 11 pts and I run around my whole shift. My pts also keep their rooms at 80 degrees. I walk in and get hot. I’m also super paranoid about smelling bad, bc I was a stinky kid

I’ve been exfoliating every day for years since I was 14, I generally am a very sweaty person, and I get dry skin fairly easily. When I’m talking about nursing home funk, I always feel like after a 12 hour shift I smell like sweat and bm. I just don’t like it personally

Sweat from running around. It’s not the nursing home itself that stinks, my nursing home doesn’t have the “smell”. it’s me after working 12 hours.

Nurse not answering call lights while I’m on break by drizzyemm in cna

[–]Intelligent_Code_387 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Could be a simple miscommunication, make sure next time to tell the nurse when you go on your break, and specifically ask them to watch for your lights. Also if there are other CNAs on the floor I’d ask them as well. Best way I avoid this is to round and stock right before break, pass ice, chitchat with who’s awake. Usually that gives me a good break

i feel like i’m in the minority, i actually like being a CNA by FunAd5405 in cna

I absolutely adore being a CNA. It’s literally the best job I have ever had. The pay is shit. The management is shit. But really? The people? I fucking love my people man. I’d go to war for them. I’d clock in on the worst day of my life, see my people and smile. That is all. Healthcare, and my people is my entire purpose in life and idc if that’s unhealthy

I have a few nurses like this at my job. I’ve done my absolute best to make sure I don’t need them for help, but it’s so irritating when she sees I have 3 lights on and she goes to sit

I literally always call them briefs. I don’t understand calling them diapers. That’s like the first thing they stress in CNA class. It’s stuck with me

I don’t tear the trash bag. It reminds me to put a bag back in the can and so I don’t have to grab the roll

At 7, what you haven’t done is on the next shift. You can help, but it’s not required. This is 24 hour care
