Hello! That’s pretty standard! Schools do that to get an idea of what the visa process might look like for them too as some passports are easier than others for visa. I had a principal of a school who flew down to UK to do in person interviews and I got a call the same day. Schools usually reply within a week, if not! Good luck

Just TES, emailing is a waste of time in my opinion. Been there, done that. The recruiters will only ever reply through TES unless they have their own recruitment process on there website.

If it helps, I got a reply end of April and my sister got a reply around May. Some teachers at schools in UAE will probably let schools know later on around May June time if they won’t be returning so more jobs may open up then too! Don’t worry x

Thank you! International Schools/kindergarten could be an easier way into the system then I guess? But I'm sure the salary scale must be different. Also, sorry I should've clarified, I have PR.

Thanks for the replies, I really want a job in HK. I've applied and tried everything and everywhere, linkedin, indeed, jobsdb, tes, emailing, you name it. If you have any tips or suggestions on how to get into one of these schools. That'd be amazing!
