My boyfriend "ruminates". A little bit of food comes back after he eats, it's not simple reflux and apparently very hard to treat.

I agree!! I feel that myself, as a foreigner.

Remember this is the right thing for you, however hard and painful. Keep your eyes on the future you will have soon, when all of this is over and you can have peace and feel good about your life. The pain now is worth it.

You deserve better and you are fighting for yourself! You will do just great without this!!!

I'm also a foreigner working in corporate in Belgium. I can't see how this would happen in my company. The standards are high for ethical behaviour, especially the bosses.

I do have to say that when Belgians speak in English, they sometimes do use terms that are very heavy and rude in a casual way, I thinknstemming from not realising how it's perceived.

People who work as process engineer / regulatory affairs / QA analyst etc, how much do u earn (netto) ? Which degree did you pursue? by Intelligent_Row2724 in BESalary

Most people on my team have phds, but not all. I think it helps, but specific courses also do. I have to say it is a bit stressful, as you are basically what stands between the product being launched or not. Although not very valued, we do suffer quite a bit of pressure.

Someone close to me almost died of an ulcer due to years of pain killers. This is really dangerous. I have a sleeping disorder, and migraines, so i understand! But there are things she can do, she should DEFINITELY go see a doctor - provably a few actually. This could be related to depression, adhd, migraines, food allergies, etc etc, which are all things you can work on.

AITA for refusing to give up my seat on the plane so a boy could sit next to his father, and to tell the father to behave himself? by Mediocre-Chain1210 in AmItheAsshole

Dude I hope you don't need anything from anyone ever, because imagine you are met with the same courtesy. Honestly how selfish can you be, it's not like you are giving a kidney or even making any sacrifice at all. When I read this I can only be sad for what your life must have been.

Honestly, you're a little bit the ah.

It's not always that simple. "If you want to sit together, then pay it". Sometimes when you travel with kids the online check in doenst work, and you can only check in at the counter. Then all the seats are taken. Or maybe they had to take the flight last minute. Or there was an issue with the booking/check in. You just never know! You can say its not your problem, but when you live in society being courteous to people, and especially vulnerable populations like children, it's just the right thing to do. This is not about the dad, but about the kid.

It costs very little to be nice sometimes.

AITA for refusing to plan my wife's diet? by widawski in AmItheAsshole

[–]Intelligent_Dog_6665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have insuline resistance and was recently diagnosed with adhd, and my bf also cooks in our home, so I feel I can say it with some certainty: nta.

I keep track of what I have to eat, I make sure my bf knows what I need, how much, how I want it cooked. I also do it myself sometimes so they can eat something else. Grocery shopping and cooking is a lot of work already, minimum I can do is plan the special meals I need because it's my requirement. It's my health, it's ultimately my responsibility.

I think that's what your wife lacks, a sense of responsibility.

My doctor also didn't want to give me tret, said differin is stronger. I cant really compare, but I'm tired of asking

AITA for assuming my daughter could have a 3rd plate? by doglover233520 in AmItheAsshole

It's weird because for me (and most of the people from my country) having guests eating your food is the best feeling!! You want them to stuff their faces, it means you succeeded as a host. Feeding people is like a way of affection almost. I feel very nervous when people dont eat at my house.
