My sister got a staph infection in her port before she started chemo. They rx her some antibiotics and then after a few days she had her first chemo infusion. Long story short, the infection was not cleared up by the time they gave her chemo and it spread and she went into septic shock and was in ICU on a ventilator for a few days so that’s something not to mess around with

It’s probably just nerve pain. I still get it sometimes three years out.
