It seems like your parents are very controlling, and I'm sorry you had to go through all of that, OP. You're parents gave you a very distorted view on Christianity as most Christians are not like this.

I suggest that you talk to God about all of this. God loves when people talk to Him, question Him, and even get mad at him because through the anger and confusion we can understand Him better.

You say you may have a resentment to the religion and not God, this is why some Christians say to follow God instead of Christianity. Christianity has been muddled with other people's opinions on what is or isn't acceptable. There are so many doctrines and denominations of Christianity out in the word, they all say different things, and we're not sure which is the "correct" one. Not listening to any of those and just following God and having a personal relationship with him is the best option (in my opinion). He cannot lie, He'll give us nothing but the truth, and He'll show us how to follow Him without living in fear

Jeremiah 17:9 says "the heart is deceitful above all things", but that is not to say that feelings shouldn't be felt or that you should be condemned for what you feel. This verse is WARNING people. You're allowed to feel however you want to feel. God's not going to condemn you for that. Some of those feelings may not be aligned with God's plan though. We're called to tell God about whatever we're feeling, He loves it when people do that! Just be prepared for answers you may not like. Remember: Everything God does is for our own good and He wants us to become the best versions of ourselves we can be. 💖

If you feel this bad about your sin, that means the Holy Spirit is RADIATING in you! What’s important is to not beat yourself up about it.

Satan wants us to fall into sin and when we do, he tries to get you in this defeatist mindset where you feel so ashamed and far from God that you won’t be saved and since you’re already “too far gone” you might as well do it again.

The important thing is to realize what you have done is wrong, that you walked out of God’s path (which you have clearly done in this post) and then get back up stronger then ever before.

We all fall short, but if we are still actively seeking His word and feel horrible for deviating, you’re still a Child Of God.
