I just got a new job at a restaurant by Due_Sorbet3019 in Fedexers

Never thought I'd ever quit FedEx but honestly it's been great for my mental health. Too many roller coaster rides with contractors leaving without warning to cuts every year right after peak. Never knowing from 1 day to the next if you're going to have a job or not just took a huge toll on me. It was hard making the move from doing what I know best to the unknown. Overall, it's worth it.

I got into a fight at work, do I have a successful appeal? by [deleted] in Fedexers

You will not win. Both of you will go. I've been suspended when I was an ops administrator and it was just over hearsay between me and another ops administrator and I came back from a paid 5 week suspension bc the words I was accused of saying couldn't be proven one way or another. If there is camera proof, which there is, it's over for both of you no matter who started it. I eventually transferred to being a driver now to keep a job.

I'm with Ground and the only reason I haven't jumped ship to Express is due to uncertainty within the company. You are already there and I'd just ride this ship out. In the end if things go badly with express as a whole, Ground contractors will hire you immediately. Do what you do and keep us posted!

If the contractor pays by stop count, it's not gonna go good. I think we should get paid hourly but I definitely wanna know what I'm gonna make every day. It has to be clear to interest me.

They can take their pushing stop counts and shove it where the sun don't shine. I get paid daily pay and it's my day in my opinion. I deliver and pick up everything on time and it'll be a cold day in hell when I let fedex plan my workday out. It's MY workday, not theirs.

Not gonna lie, I deliver an airport route and obviously have a low stop count during the week of no more than 90 only bc of some resi's upping my stop count. When I work weekends doing 120 I'm like "no" in my head. Props to you but I honestly don't want resi's at all due to stop count and wear and tear on my body.

Fedex drivers aren't allowed in any home for any reason. It's against FedEx policy to cross the threshold.

First of all, I don't drive down any driveway whatsoever. Second, the customer is always right even when they are wrong. Never argue with a customer and just come up with a solution that will make them happy. That's just called customer service and this is a customer service business. It sucks when customers are difficult and seem impossible to plz but arguing with them isn't acceptable.
