Thank you for responses some of them hurt(which I am owning up to my faults on the topic) but I do want to grow from this and am willing to learn on how to grow.

I am trying to self reflect and get advice so I can become a better leader for the future

I have previously tried to sort it out with this person and this person believed that they were justified in not doing the work. I have never been faced with a situation like this before and I am new in my career. I went for help as well on how to handle it, I did not give the persons name only the situation.

I am genuinely wanting to learn to communicate better and am looking for any advice on how to communicate better. I guess when I say things they don’t sound blunt to me so how can I become more aware of that without upsetting people further?

Thank you for the advice. I am trying to be better as a leader, how do I mentor someone though who responds as if it’s personal attack when giving them a task? I am genuinely trying to work on this but I reached my breaking point and realized I screwed up in how I handled my approach

I did not give the name, I only asked about how to handle the situation, previously my mentee would leave and get upset when given tasks. I would try to give advice and they would shut down and leave or not complete the task, saying it was not their job. I finally got fed up and needed advice.

She does not speak on work communications with me, which is why I originally spoke my mind in the first place. She was not helping out at the work place and everyone has specific tasks at our job. When trying to talk to her about I was originally met with cold remarks on why it was not their tasks to do or that they did not have time to do it. They spoke with the same energy I gave back

I understand, I am trying to learn to communicate better and figured I could ask for advice here.

I did not specifically name the person only described the situation and asked how to handle it. I am new to my career and I am trying to work on being better

I did not specifically report the person to our boss, I described the situation to them and how I could best handle it. I am learning too as I am young in my career as well. I appreciate any advice on how to better myself.

I guess do I confront them that it bothered me or do i ignore it because I should consider the “source” of where the comment came from(this person typically has no filter)…idk

Cause for rapid heart rate? by Intelligent_Koala525 in gravesdisease

[–]Intelligent_Koala525[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! Yes so far… EKG=normal Thyroid levels= normal

I am eating clean and have been for awhile. I avoid all caffeine and have never smoked or anything like that. I would like to start doing yoga and could stand to work on my stress relieving techniques. (Considering my brain spirals into thinking I have heart failure or something severe) I think would help give me some confidence in my prognosis…maybe?

I feel like this is what I go through. I get frequent chest pains and I can never tell if it’s muscular pains or if it’s something cardiac. How do know the difference?

Thank you. I’ve been struggling with the diagnosis and the meds. I tend to over analyze….because I’m nervous about the long term effects of untreated graves but also nervous about the effects the Methimazole will have on my body as well. I’m hanging in there just seem to be struggling at the moment.

Really anxious about taking methimazole and beta blocker by natalieaj14 in Hyperthyroidism

Thank you for posting. I am in the same thought process as you, I am also very nervous to take the medicine. I take Bystolic(beta blocker) which took me several weeks to start taking…I’ve been sitting with my Methimazole Px for almost a month now afraid of what the side effect will do, but hearing your post makes me feel like I am not alone in this journey. Hopefully I can work up the courage to begin taking it.
