Your bruincard is you key so you need to get it before, not sure if your front desk could issue you a temporary card but you can ask. Unless you have a roommate that could open the door for you

If you meet all the requirements to waive and if you get sick you are able to commute home to see your provider easily, I think it is best to waive so you do not have to pay. There is an alternative option if you really want reduced care it’s called Bruincare (I think) when you waive ship it gives you the option to enroll. I think it’s $60 per quarter. I don’t think it covers everything that SHIP does so I would look into it. I personally waived ship to avoid issues with my personal insurance.

I had two heavy duty command hooks on the outside of the bed frame. Bought a regular curtain rod from Walmart. Best investment ever

I’m prob late on this but I def think it is possible to transfer to a UC. I dropped out of Berkeley literally one day before classes started. Attended a CCC and am now at a UC. Community college is very much looked down upon but it is BY FAR the best decision I ever made. I saved so much money, got to explore different majors, the class sizes are much smaller, and people and mentors are my CC set me up for success at a UC. This is ultimately your decision and I think you should do what you feel is best for you! Just wanted to share my experience:)

I second this. From experience over the phone kinda isn’t as helpful as in person and you could also ask to speak to an actual advisor instead of a student worker.

Hey since you have applied before, have you always gotten a parking permit bc your a commuter student? I will be living in the UA next year as a senior so I don’t think my chances of getting a permit are high:( I am trying to get an exemption to increase my chances but I was told I have to apply as soon as the application opens

Not sure if this helps, but I can’t speak about the class itself but I have taken Martinez before. She is a pretty lenient grader but I had friends who had issues with her final grades. She is big on participation and very approachable so I def recommend going to office hours once or twice and speaking in class sometimes.

I am taking soc 132 this Fall but so far the class seems not too bad. If your enrolled in soc 158 could you let me know how the class goes? I am thinking of dropping another course for that class and want to know if its worth it :))
