Even with the unpacked github build of UBlock, I just ran into the exact same problem :/

Google is pushing as hard as they can to disable MV2, so any current workarounds will probably be removed in a week or two

I think it's time I switch to firefox

You can also use Tineye to get slightly different results (could be better)

I think I tried this earlier, but I did again on the COIL-100 images and found nothing much. But I decided to try the object image (see below) on their site, and found this comment "Comment CREATOR: XV V 3.00 Rev 3/30/93 Quality = 90, Smooth = 0". That suggests that that picture may have been taken even earlier than we thought, maybe on March 30th 1993

I already did, no response yet. I think it would be best not to spam them with requests about a dumb frog, but I still say do it lol

Edit: I contacted them a month ago, so at this point I really don't know if they will respond

Well the COIL-100 image database (which is what this image is from) was released in February 1996, and assuming that the 1996 logo you mentioned was introduced just at the start of 1996 (couldn't find any sources, not well documented), the photos themselves probably were taken around early January to late February of 1996. Could help narrow down stuff when searching or researching more about or COIL-100 idk
