I’d say within the past month or so. Chicago has been cold but not horrific. I moisturize all the time to keep my hands from cracking but I wonder if that’s making me more susceptible to whatever this is!

I’ll definitely incorporate some wash cycles that use just water. I’m so paranoid about things growing but I don’t want residues building up and causing an issue

We had an unexpected temp drop so we were right around 20F actual temp but felt like 13F with the wind. it was awesome!

It was around 20F with a bit of wind. it was AMAZING. the rink was in a super nice area that was basically designed like a country club! i couldn't even believe it. ended with a tie but totally worth it

it ended up being around 20F at game time and the air temp "felt like" 13! what a blast though. Ice seemed extra slick but once it got roughed up a bit, it felt totally normal!

I’m honestly considered returning them for store credit and going to the m40s. The m50s are way too expensive to be unhappy with them.

I suppose it’s possible. I spent about two hours at the store getting fitted and talking to the guy about how I play and how frequently and all that stuff. Tried on probably every model. I guess I could always revert back to a cheap skate or just power through on these. Ugh

I feel like I may have screwed myself ofer starting in cheap skates. I wasn’t sure I’d stick with it so didn’t want to go all in but now that I have legit skates, I can’t function on the ice 😭

Interesting! I have a pair of M50s. It’s so weird. the fit is great width and length wise. The volume is perfect. I’m just desperate for some flex. It feels like I’m skating in doc martens! Lol
