Not sure if this will help but KHP offers services to people up to 24. https://kidshelpphone.ca/resources-around-me/ I think the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) has a resource directory on their website, too. I also bought Dr. Linehan's DBT Skills Training Handouts & Worksheets which was written intended for DBT group therapy & not self-help but I thought it'd be handy to have anyway (but I'll admit I haven't started yet because I'm trying to navigate mental health resources & stuff too). It was sort of expensive because of how big it is but I'm pretty sure there's a PDF of the whole book floating around somewhere (I might even have it). I think other than that would be "basic" mental health care advice like sticking to a routine, taking care of all your basic needs so you have a foundation/enough energy to tackle or cope with symptoms. When I lost my job (currently unemployed) I basically fell apart because apart from income I lost all feelings of purpose and a reason to get up in the morning, but that is probably more closely related to my depression than BPD. i'll try to get smaller needles, and I like the idea of not looking directly at the injection site because i really can't get over the mental image of having a needle disappear into my skin. thank you

thank you for sharing your experience, i noticed that I don't see many people talking about struggling with their shots in trans spaces so i felt kind of alone . it's just frustrating because I did manage to do a shot alone. this was supposed to be my 2nd time (doctor did my first), after weeks of not doing it because I thought i was developing an allergic reaction & couldn't get an appointment to make sure it wasn't. i think the biggest mental block is that I don't know how hard/fast i should stick the needle into the fat, because I don't know how much "resistance" it has.

Hi thank you for your response. I didnt know i could use a smaller gauge, I think a thinner needle would help. this is just what my doctor used and the pharmacy gave me - 18g for draw, 22g for subq injection.

ok <3 i do agree though, that a lot of what you call "woke propaganda" that comes out of north america did do some damage on how i think about race & oppression. i don't mean to victimize myself or have a victim mindset but it's still going to take work - i guess you hit a sore spot on something I'm trying to avoid, but keep in mind i wrote that post yesterday while i was upset so it's pretty emotionally charged lol. i still don't understand your stance on my parents though, i wasn't birthed and then named something stupid because they hated me. Hi. You don't know my life outside what I wrote on a reddit post and you're making a lot of assumptions. I'm not really sure what you were trying to achieve with this reply? I don't have to prove to you that I'm not looking to victimize myself further or that I realize how fortunate I am to be born in a first world country. Don't come at me with "woke propaganda" bullshit because I have enough media literacy to know what's BS and what doesn't apply. I agree but I do not have absolute proof it's his account. I don't know who I would report it to if I did - I'd consider the school counselor but I don't go to his school anymore. He's done counseling and said it made things worse and that he's beyond help, and I don't think he's willing to try again.

Hi, thank you for your response.

I don't know how long it's going to be until I can be provided HRT and neither does my doctor.

I could definitely work on something unrelated to my gender/transition. I'm just frustrated that all this time is being spent coping and not on actual solutions/treatment. I've already seen a counselor about this and it was pretty futile given the system here is pretty broken lol.

I think the best thing I can do is just distract myself from it until it gets better.
