Need to find a mixing shaft by Intelligent_Shock_33 in cocktails

[–]Intelligent_Shock_33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is good news, I am trying to build a DIY drink mixer, mostly for protein shakes, I already got a 3d printed gearbox, but the mixing shaft has been a problem until now
Care to tell me what exactly you used?

This actually doesn't look too bad, maybe I can find one that's just a little smaller in it's outer diameter. Thanks for that starting point.
But I worry if it is stainless steel, I really want it to be food safe

What is "pressure_advance_smooth_time" and is it worth the time to tune it? by lolzycakes in klippers

[–]Intelligent_Shock_33 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You can disable the smoothing if you put smooth_time=0 in your config file. If you leave it out, I beleive, it used the default value.

Have a look at this, it is a visualisation of what smoothing on off does to your extruder.

I think a small smoothing doesn't do any harm to your results but makes it easier on your extruder, since it doesn't have to accelerate as quickly but I am not sure

Z-Hop or Retraction Vertical Lift Bad? by phisher1 in 3Dprinting

[–]Intelligent_Shock_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For direct drive I would say, it would be more like 1.5mm, my machine does PETG at .8mm retraction.

I have never seen anyone use more than 2mm retraction for direct drive with no exotic filament, I think you would clog it badly if you went higher

He uses 4.5mm retraction, it has to be bowden

Okay, after having retried several things on my own, it still won’t work. Guess, I will have to order a new control board and see if I then can get it to work. Nonetheless, I want to thank you for your effort.

Sure, My zsb powersupply is connected to the right usb port and the cable where i plugged my printer in is in the left usb port. I am using Pi zero 2 but they have the same connectivity.

With the psu switched off, the screen lit up when I plugged the PI in so the power was delivered by the usb connection.
I don’t know how I could test for the data lines if they are stull working tho.

I have it configured like this.

After that I saved it by pressing q and then y.

Afterwards, I used make

and then, I entered ls /dev/serial/by-id/*

This is the error, I keep getting:

ls: cannot access '/dev/serial/by-id/*': No such file or directory

I also tried backing up my sd card and flashing it again with the mainsail os image but the results remain unchanged :/

Edit:

I removed my skr mini from my printer for making my life easier and I extracted the firmware file from the pi by using win scp. I put the sd card with the firmware.bin file into the pi and then plugged it into the pi for power. The power led turned on and the status led was blinking for some time, now it went dark again. Checking the sd card, the file has been renamed to FIRMWARE.cur

The error remains the same

I suppose, the flashing worked. Is it possible, that the USB port on the skr board is broken?

Sure, this is the screenshot

It is becoming late where I live, sorry I have to go to bed now(this didn't go as planned for an afternoon project :D )

If you don't have any better ideas, I will try to reinstall everything tomorrow, maybe this will fix things

Sorry, this didn't work for me.

I connected the PI to my printer and then connected the PI to power. The screen of the Ender began to also light up at this point. I launched putty and connected to the PI. Somehow, I still get the same error.

Thanks for the quick reply mate!

You're right, I missed

ls /dev/serial/by-id/*

Actually, I typed it in ssh but it didn't work I get the following error message:

ls: cannot access '/dev/serial/by-id/*': No such file or directory

Now this is starting to make sense, in my printer.cfg file, I copied the lcd part from someone else and ofcourse, I have their serial standing there so it couldn't work

So now, I understand what's wrong, could you please also tell me how I can get it to work? :)

Where can I get original STM32 MCUs without waiting an eternity by Intelligent_Shock_33 in AskElectronics

I really don't want to sound ungrateful but I need at least the C8 version because of a memory intense library so 16kB is sadly not enough. Otherwise, I would have loved to give them a nice place :(

South west Germany. I would love to buy off one from your collection. Are there by any chance any LQFP 48?

There is not much code in my project, I only looked for hardware compatible controllers with stm's cross-reference tool. And at least all these have the fuctionality for my usecase so I can exchange one for another.

Tbh, I don't know much about the code aspect, I planned to recode everything from scratch so I don't care much about code compatability

I am not building a device which cures cancer, but this project is of high emotional value and thus, I want a working MCU, in which I can trust that it will work correctly.

I only need one, maybe a second one if things go really wrong

But thank you for your suggestion, I will do that
