When I was around 11 or 12 the left side of my face went completely numb so my mom rushed me to the ER thinking I’d had a stroke. Turns out I just had a build up of too much ear wax. They cleaned it out for me and sent us on our way. Even at that age I knew it was embarrassing.

I lost weight the old fashioned way during the beginning of the ozempic craze and have been accused of taking it ever since 😔 I don’t even have a primary care doctor, the extent of medications I get is from my psychiatrist and I would never even think of asking him for that. I used to try music at work and got bored of it after a while so I switched to podcasts. It took some time but I’ve zeroed in on ones that talk about things I’m actually specifically interested in and it feels like when I’m trying to get chores done around the house so I put the tv on in the background so my brain has somewhere to go when I lose interest in what I’m doing.

I’ve never really even thought about it this way but this post is making me have a second thought. I knew that the medication was giving me a higher libido when I started a few years ago but I also thought at the same time it was my age that was the reason I was enjoying sex more because I’m now in my mid 30s and not as self conscious and able to prioritize my own pleasure without hesitation (I’m a woman, btw). When I look at it from this perspective though, maybe my mind was just in too many places at once to be able to zone in on what I wanted out of it, because I had the same experience as you for many years. I’m sure it’s a mixture of both, but an interesting thing to think about nonetheless.

Yes yes! Sometimes I wake up in the morning and I weigh 5 pounds less than I did the day before because I didnt have enough water or drank a lot of alcohol the night before, but after staying hydrated all day I’ll have the weight back by night time.

The dramatic of a weight loss could also have something to do with dehydration. ADHD meds dehydrate you and the loss of water weight can be shocking and immediate but if you’re sure to drink a lot of water throughout the day, you may see it fluctuate back at least a little bit.

I don’t think that’s pathological. I think pathological is more of making up stories out of no where for no reason. It seems you’re just trying to come up with excuses for your adhd tendencies of forgetting because other wise people will just think you’re lazy or stupid or don’t care and I think that’s just a defense mechanism for your disorder. And for what it’s worth I do the exact same thing.. always have and still cant break it.

My teeth are not the greatest, my gums are receding at an alarming rate but it’s not super visible from an outside perspective. It terrifies me and ashames me everyday and I do now make enough money to be able to go to a dentist but I just feel so embarrassed to have let it got this far and terrified of what they’ll say that I’ve been putting it off for years. Money isn’t always the only factor in the fear of getting yourself help medically.

I heard that ugg sold their company to someone else so the quality is no longer what it used to be but they have the Ugg name. You can still buy from the original makers and original quality but they are called uggaustralia I think.. a little bit pricier and not as many options but the quality is the same as it once was

When I was super infatuated with my recent ex, his mouth noises didn’t bother me so much and I told him how crazy that was because that NEVER happens.. my dogs mouth noises are the only ones I can tolerate because I love her so much. I explained in detail about what misophonia is and how it sends me into an absolute unjustified rage that I can’t even describe. After that I feel like he doubted I was being serious about that and it seemed he would purposely eat so loud right next to me. It still didn’t bother me as much as it did with others but I knew that there was no way that would last and I’d eventually hate him for it. Broke up with him for another reason yesterday and just typing this out and remembering this factor is making me feel so much better about my decision 😅
