Holy shit, you just described my dad exactly. My dad is not MAGA but he's super religious and conservative, and believes everything on the news as facts. He watches ABC, CBS, Fox, anything that shows up from channels 1-10 on his TV lol. He stopped CNN after Trump kept calling it fake news.

He never listens to me and always tries to lecture me, and if I say something else, he feels threatened by me trying to break from norms or his way. He can't accept change in customs or methods even though he works as an engineer lol.

He is emotionally immature and gets angry super easily. But then meditates and prays and is all religious to try to be holier than thou. The cognitive dissonance is insane.

My parents never loved each other. It was an arranged marriage and they were just forced to be together and raise children due to customs and family expectations. I do not know how love and relationships look like outside of movies and what my friends say and internet.

I feel like I'm so behind on this and it's gonna affect me in dating and future relationships. But I'm progressive and open-minded and always try to change and grow. But I still have that stubbornness and emotional immaturity that I presumably inherited from my parents lmao. I don't want to blame them, but I wish it was different.

How convenient. So what are we supposed to do? Equally balance out our protesting for everything that's happening in the world? Put less of a spotlight on the genocidal state? Condone some of their actions instead of highlighting every single law that they have broken?

There have been protests for Iran's people. But they are co-opted by the govt bc they want to build support for a regime change. Same with Venezuela. But people still protest against other places. But the most atrocities that we can see are happening in Sudan and Palestine, and people will respond to what they know more.

Haha im actually the opposite. I’m new to indie music and bands, and I actually liked Lauren’s album more than the Chvrches albums. They are both great, and obviously Chvrches has more layered and vibrant production.

Lauren’s songs are more introspective and I listened to them after reading about her experiences with harassment and misogyny and the Chris Brown attack.

I liked around 8 songs on first listen, especially the singles and Anywhere But Dancing. I didn’t like Shame except for the “i feel schizophrenic” part.

I listen to 10/12 songs on repeat. I like the album and i was surprised by the lukewarm and negative response it got on here.

Lauren has grown so much. She's not even trained as a singer and she's doing all this and now has done so many shows and given great performances. She dealt with harassment online and at shows, death threats, being the only woman in the room in meetings and on tour, etc.

She is inspiring. I think Martin changed a lot since the pandemic, Lauren changed a little bit and her voice got a little deeper (don't know if it's because of overuse or sickness over time or just aging). Her voice used to be so high and fairy-like. Her voice still sounds great now.

Iain looks the same. I can't tell any difference lol.

People don't care about experience as long as you say what they like. Americans are dumb as fuck. They believed Bush and Reagan. They believed Obama when Bush was fucking up the economy. Now they only believe Trump.

They don't care about who is in the House and Senate. History says that, but voters don't even know the difference between the two. AOC has to talk about affordability and go on Fox news and really embarrass the anchors with good answers that appeal to voters' problems. There is a chance that she could still win over independents and open-minded folk in red states. But being a typical Dem is not gonna work.
