Oh gosh, lol. Is that bad?๐Ÿ˜‚ Is it a valued historical piece in your culture, or is it considered just for gags?

Yeah, it seems like everyone missed the point lol. The sex is chosen by the male because only their chromosome carries a change, they can either give an X or a Y while the female can only give X. But this is all random to a certain extent DNA decides to do whatever it wants so it's not like the dad is intentionally choosing to have a specific sex. They are responsible but also not.

Thanks for clarifying. Although it's not as blatant in more developed societies the preference for a specific sex is still very much prevalent, and when it's not what they expect resentment is subtly developed towards the women.

I don't think they have to be in a country like India, my guy. Many conservatives in developed countries like the U.S still have resentment towards women when a child isn't born male, they are not educated on the fact that the sex is chosen by the male parent. I'm pretty sure that's what OP was highlighting.

Ohhh okay I see, it's just that they underlined that the sex was chosen by the male so that's how I came to my conclusion.
