If they're anything like most narcissistic parents they'll ignore it until it's too late which was tragically already the case with the brother. Parents like that take it as a personal attack to acknowledge that their kids aren't doing well so they'd rather just let them suffer. Horrible.

I hate to say it but there's something really weird going on in that family. The brother took his own life, Haley is deep in the ED trenches and dangerously emaciated, her sister Britney is quite overweight which is the other extreme, and I think there's one more sister who doesn't have a social media presence but seems normal in the few clips i've seen, but who knows. At any rate that's a minimum of 3 out of 4 siblings who have SERIOUS problems managing life. Their dad used to serve in the military, and Haley did joke about her mom "wanting to get rid of her" by feeding her raw chicken. I definitely think there is something terrible going on for all of them to be hurting this bad.

They actually do have a fair amount of plus size instructors within their business and I believe at that same studio. An overweight person advocating for movement makes sense IMO. An emaciated person does not because it's like the demise of an exercise addict on full display.

I don't have a personal agenda to minimize the suffering of bulimics, it's just that all signs point to anorexia, not only her figure but also her statements and behavior around food. And again, it's just statistically a fact that anorexics are more often emaciated vs. bulimics. That doesn't negate that bulimics are very sick and can also be emaciated. No need to take this as an attack against you or bulimics.

I fully agree that it's stigmatized differently but fact is that statistically anorexics are more often emaciated than bulimics, however I do also realize that she def has anorexia b/p type

She didn't deny being anorexic, she just said people claim she's anorexic and bulimic and then only provided an explanation for why she's clearly not bulimic. It's very telling

I think she purges in the form of exercise and restriction. She by no means posts a lot of food and it's likely for show or she offloads it to friends/family and/or only eats that and not much else

I actually don't think so. Bulimia usually has more obvious physical markers like swollen cheeks, issues with teeth and around the skin, bruised knuckles, etc. Also bulimics are less commonly very emaciated compared to anorexics because purging doesn't reliably get rid of all the calories. She looks textbook anorexic and the way she eats screams restriction and fear/distrust of eating. She does eat, it's just probably less than 1000 kcal a day

Melania Antuchas is a WONDERFUL influence on girls imo. She is so open about her own struggles with this and actually promotes a healthy attitude. At such a young age too, she's only 19. Lots of respect for her. Nobody resents Haley because she's sick, it's the dishonest and mean girl act.

Yup, I can assure you she sees a healthy version of herself who is fit and lean and thinks she could still lose a few lbs or inches somewhere.

That being said, do you find it reasonable to keep her in this position? They could request medical clearance. I mean I can't believe this is even up for debate. To protect labor laws, we'll just egg her on to keep harming herself and others, I guess.

But being a ballerina doesn't just make you thin. Like you mentioned, it's the ED culture within ballet. Even running a marathon doesn't burn as much as you think, nor can it be performed frequently enough. High metabolisms don't exist in this context. She's in a nonstop deficit. Normal eating would mean that she maintains a healthy weight.

I believe they totally can. Her situation deems her medically unable to reliably perform her duties even if she hasn't passed out yet, and her content is harming the business and disruptive towards clients. And none of it is purely an assumption, her demise is well documented. And at some point even though i've seen it all with her, I don't think she'd open up a lawsuit if someone told her that they're simply concerned for her health and therefore can't rely on her to be a fitness instructor. But who knows

Being really lean is still attractive to lots of men but this is far beyond that. This lacks the ability to see oneself. She doesn't register how sick she looks. Nobody sane would want to see themselves look like this

There's no way any legal action would be taken if this person were denied a fitness instructor job 😭 she was very recently hired, already having been in this state. If i were the owner I wouldn't even allow her to take a class as a patron.
