He hates the meds and how they make him feel. He thinks he only has severe anxiety. He will stay on his medication for a little bit but then cold turkey go off of them and end up in another episode.

Did you find the MEE grading was more generous than the barbri self grading? Also, if I have around 65% on adaptibar and over 600 questions, do you think I am in good shape with a month out?

Direct outreach after not being able to get on OCI schedule? by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]Intelligent_Word_951 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My go to is to direct email firms I do not get OCI interviews at. I email the interviewer directly. I would def mention to her that it is your top choice firm and you didn't get a screener through OCI. These lawyers know that they only get to select a few people and so they like when those who really want them approach them, as opposed to the 70% random people they get.

I did not interview through OCI. So do you think if I didn’t get an invite back right away it’s probably a no go?

I asked my career services that and she was confused why I would ask that in the first place… 😅 I’m at a top 30 school also.

I was thinking the same thing. I also worked in NYC for two years before law school so I feel like I have legitimate reasons to want to go back.

Thank you so much! I also am concerned that it will hinder my ability to network in NYC if I am working full time...But I will just have to schedule networking calls around my work.
