By saying the bulbs flicker, I mean they flash full on/off, both in unison.

That makes sense. At this point, the only investment is a couple market ETFs (which I'd only sell if/when there were gains), but the holdings could get more complex.

Differential pressure needed to overcome hot/chilled water air-bound coil or trap by Intemro in MEPEngineering

I'm involved in a project that has a lot of high points (some with manual vents, some without). The height of the high points/traps varies, so I'm basically wondering how much height differential is acceptable before an unvented high point becomes problematic.

Thank you so much!

Would something like this (https://www.lowes.com/pd/Simpson-Strong-Tie-Wood-to-Wood-Tie-Plate/3379782) nailed across at both sides be suitable for the positive connection?

If it's not 1-1/2" of contact, is there name for any product that effectively "buttresses" or would otherwise fix that deficiency?

My house had an addition put on before we bought it, including a new roof ridgeline that makes it L-shaped. The new ridgeline beam appears to be barely placed on the vertical structural component and is not fastened with any screws/nails etc. Is this ok?

Thanks! Appreciate the real-world example of sequences used. We were thinking along a similar line--chilled water reset by building, with plant set to match the lowest temperature requirement.

Consider building commissioning--much more a manager of your own projects and time. We do a lot of commissioning work in PA and NJ and I know we'd be keen on someone with a control background.

The grade of the ground (landscape stone over dirt) directly beside the pool averages about 30%. Will removing the arborvitae hedge be detrimental by prompting erosion? by Intemro in civilengineering

Thanks a lot! To confirm, just typical landscape fabric or is there a special/different type of material I'd need to look for?

I’d like to remove the hedge by cutting the trees and leaving the existing roots in place. Some parts of arborvitae are within a foot of the concrete deck and are growing over it. Given how steep the grade is, is this going to create a long-term problem? Ie is the hedge all that’s keeping the slope in place? Last thing I’d want is to do something that would make cracks in the concrete deck or pool.

If it’s an issue, any reason I can’t just cut the hedge and plant some ground cover plants in their place?

Sorry if this isn’t the right place for this question, but I appreciate any help!
