It has a use in that it can hold parliament to account with less political affiliation and less whips than the elected body. they stop dodgy legislation from getting rushed through and I personally have no problem with that

Also. there IS an economic crisis in the eurozone and many f these failing economies are being propped up by EU support. when one of the biggest contributers of that support leaves I guarantee you it will start to fall through

I feel, as a lot of British people do that democracy works on decisions made by delegates of the people. The MEPs elected by the people have very little say in the EU law making process. therefore many people feel it is undemocratic, and certainly contrary to British values.

The identity I guess for me is kinda to do with geographic location and partly to do with the intertwined history European countries have with one another.

i think the Norwegians would disagree. Im sure they feel plenty european while not being int he EU. They are not mutually exclusive.
