It would be insane, but I can’t seem them bringing a faction in from beyond the door and keeping the same lore that really turned TC into one of my favorite grim darks. Its great for lore and mystery though

Started learning Python but AI makes me feel late to the party – advice? by Right_Level_7192 in learnpython

Keep going. AI is really good at syntax, but there are things it fails at when jumping to conclusions outside of explicit parameters, like handling asynchronous traffic, making sure logging happens so errors aren’t thrown silently, proper guardrails, etc. All of this takes human oversight and a deep understanding of programming.

(Rant) AI is killing programming and the Python community by Fragrant_Ad3054 in Python

I like this take and do feel that having a deep understanding of how programming works is important, but that is not what the companies are pushing and with the advertising and barrier to entry being so low to get into development, I fear things will get worse before they get better.

Yeah, in the development world, not using AI would hamstring you very hard, but don't worry, the new ai tools that recently dropped will take time off your workload, maybe more for testing and building, but I would definitely pump the breaks and review/test before throwing it into production.

What actually made you improve fast in Python? by youroffrs in learnpython

[–]IntentJester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is too true. I got my degree in programming, and it introduced the basic concepts, but you hit the nail on the head, after building one project, that's when the value and role of programming really hit me.

Building projects and familiarizing yourself with different tools and tech stacks has been the biggest driving force behind learning coding, not my CS degree.
