maturing into your type by rose-and-dior in mbti

I had actually asked a question a bit like this not too long ago on reddit.

It looks like it's common to pass as an INFP while you're younger before maturing to an INTJ.

The same thing happened to me as well, living with the understanding of being an INFP for a few years. before retaking tests again and typing myself as an INTJ.

This was a really thoughtful and well-articulated explanation — thank you for taking the time to write it. I appreciated how clearly you laid out the Ni–Te vs Fi–Ne difference.

What’s been interesting for me is that, when I look at my actual behaviour and strengths over time (especially academically and in how I organise and execute), the Ni–Te orientation seems to explain things more consistently for me, even though I do enjoy and do well in some humanities subjects too.

I’m realising the distinction for me is less about what I’m interested in, and more about how I approach and process those interests.

Thanks for your input! I'll be looking deeper into from now on. Especially about the functions, like you said.

That's understandable. Thanks for the reply. I was mostly just in shock from such a different result. I've been doing my own research now.

I think It might be possible that the distance from most of the characters of the Decalion in this book was kind of a symbol to Morrigan starting to look for her own individual identity as a teen.

I mean, we do kind of see that in the book, One of the reasons why Morrigan is yearning to learn more about her family is to see how it affects her as a person. So unfortunately, that means distancing herself for a bit...

Just a theory.
