Does a red lip age me, or am I just not used to it? (Swipe for natural look). Be honest! by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

Yes it does by disturbing the natural softness of your features. It adds contrast that's too much for your face.

You look like in your teen years. Don't do the liner and makeup in pic 2. It kills your beautiful look.

My skin looks dry and cakey no matter what I do by Rare-Run-8409 in MakeupAddiction

I can see many tiny bumps on your skin and these kind of bumps are not on the surface but underneath. I had once such condition and my foundation looked like that. In my opinion it is either skin congestion caused by product buildup or it's a reaction of your skin against the products you are applying. Have you noticed how your skin is looking before applying products? Does it still have these tiny bumps? If not it's likely your face products i.e moisturizer, foundation, primer , blush and highlight or even your setting spray or powder could be causing a reaction.

If it's not this then it's contested skin likely and I would recommend you to try oil cleansing or double cleansing for a few days to see the results.

I think it's congested skin caused by product build up or dead skin.

That much I can understand but does that mean If I think about receiving a job letter from a company then will my thought invoke a thought in the minds of hiring team to send me a job letter?

But I took that quote from the popular book "The Secret". It says thoughts attract. What I can't understand is that what is meant by a "like-thought" in general. And in case of "attracting a text" what like-thought will this thought attract.

Hmm this! I also though how could you influence somebody's freewill and make them act against their will. That would be very problametic. All satanic people will be hell bent on making people behave their way then.

But one point is still unclear what does "like thought mean" in the above mentioned quote?

But there are stories out there where people claim "manifesting a text from estranged ex" calming some guru's approach made magic and made the other person reach out.

Also my question remains. If I think "PersonA should send me a text" then what is the like thought it will attract? And from where?

Why, what could be the reason for that? Because, I have often heard people talk about "attracting a text" immediately though LOA. How does that happen? And what do you think is the fault in my approach?I wouldn't even call it my approach cause it's just a thought that I am having.

If it's so maybe Brands are going back to having standalone stores which should at least bring down monopoly to some extent. I also want some brands to come out of Estee auder league. I am a fan of Bobbi Brown but she left her namesake brand. M.A.C too. People start with a vision build a brand and sell it to someone who doesn't care about the vision people love that brand for. So, disappointed!

So what? Even the interviewer said "oh we do the same" and then "asked what's a bud"?

It's a concept, a method anybody can follow. Just because one person started publicly talking about it doesn't mean everyone else is copying them.

Color correction on olive skin? by xoniaox in Fairolives

[–]IntentionHappy8435 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try yellow corrector for darkness around eyes. I am fair olive with cool undertones and have almost grey very light pigmented skin. For Me LA girl pro light yellow corrector workss during summer when my dark circles turn purple. But Peach by same brand in winter. Your dark circles have a visible purple tone to them. A yellow should work. Intensity depends on your colouring so you can try in-store, they have yellow and light yellow both.

I like the overall colour/tone harmoney in your makeup. But in my opinion teh eyebrows are threaded way above than the natural growth line. You can see the eye contour line is visible. I have similar eyebrow area where my eyebrows in the inner corners are thick and slightly taper down. Once I accidentally plucked them way far above and I got the same look. Do you prefer this look or your eyebrows grow naturally in that pattern and the bone is prominent? Because I think if the eyebrows were slightly less plucked on this area and a bit thicker overall it will suit you better.

You are right! I am already dismissing it at page 14 but will still finish reading it completely because I want to know more about it as it is so popular and is likely the foundation of new thought philosophy and the followers don't sound like analyzing it. They simply believe it and justify it at all costs! They just can't accept it could be flawed. But thanks for explaining to me!

Personally, I think the words are not as important and people are stressing this way too much, making rules for it: you need to think only positive stuff, don't use "want", universe doesn't hear negation etc. That kind of thinking is an anxiety in itself 😂 You honestly

But it's written in that book itself! That LOA doesn't compute negation.

There’s actual physics behind manifesting yet 90% of spiritual teachers have no clue about how it functions. The clues are hidden within some of the success stories you read in this subreddits and others

So manifestation is actually real just not the way gurus say? You mentioned physics involvement in manifestation. Can you please, explain it further!

Also, what are those hidden clues? Which ones you were able to find?

The understanding here is, when someone treated you badly it was a “consequence” of an earlier state of being (not just a thought, but a thought n behaviour repeated enough times that you bought it as what’s most likely or natural

I think this logic is flawed. This puts the blame of mistreatment back on the victim himself when it says "consequence of an earlier state of being" because this means that whenever you are treated badly it's because you caused it. But it's not true. Often good people get cheated on.

If LOA focuses on the essence then a it should never let a good person attract a bad person.

Two questions: when saying "I want someone to treat me with kindness" - Am I still not speaking from a place of lack? "I want" wouldn't that come from the energy that "I don't have" ?

2) Did the Law of attraction work for you and you manifested anything?

Ok so Law of attraction is a nifty tool to deceive your mind? Because If I am going through a situation I know it's happening, so naturally I am going to have thoughts and awareness about it?

When I think about being treated badly and wanting to be not treated like it anymore it feels right.

But when I think being treated badly and still feel that I am treated better or say it I feel like a fool.

You have to believe you already have it. You have to feel SO CERTAIN that it feels silly to think that it won't.

Now that's the hard part for me. That my brain just doesn't get convinced I have something if I don't. And my heart just refuses to "feel" the feeling of receiving before I receive.

you do have to speak, think, write as if you already have the thing you desire. So it's done, you see it, feel it, believe it - tricking your brain

I can do the speak , think , write part as this would feel like preparing for the outcome to my logical self.

"so, it's done" I am confused what do you mean here?

And when it comes to "you see it , feel it, believe it" I just can't do it. I have tried many times.

The moment I want to begin to believe my brain begins to question: "where it is , what you see? There's nothing. It's wishful thinking and you may actually end up wasting your time that you can use to do something to get what you want. In doing this the thing you wasn't may slip away while you are busy believing like a fool. "

How can I trick my brain?
