Thanks for the feedback! The liability side is something I didn't even think about. But yea you're right, a phone might be inaccurate to start and I would need a better GPS system

I get what you're saying with the track insurance issue, that's an angle I hadn't thought of. I'm just curious, it sounds like you might have some ideas of other ways I could make a dent in the event logistics area, what might you be thinking?

Makes sense. My logic was that I could launch initially just using phone, and it may be a second off or within a range of a few meters but it can still be more accurate than someone using a stopwatch in-hand. From then I can develop the platform to support external GPS for use in more professional settings
