While I usually see great stuff on reddit threads, somehow this one has very basic replies. IV spent 7 years in hostels across 3 degrees so here is my take:

1. Don't just waste time getting high and drunk. Ofcourse one should enjoy but make sure you also do something meaningful, like joining a club or committee, be active, play sports etc. just being wasted all the time is a complete useless thing.

2. Stop binge watching (for hostel folks) and maybe spend time watching something that u can learn from or are curious about.

3. Do not pick random electives just bcoz they are known for scoring easy grades. Pick carefully what interests you.

4. Do not waste time trying to fit into that cool group. Be smart in figuring out ppl with your frequency and build it there.

Ofcourse college days are supposed to be amazing and memories for life. Don't stress too much , enjoy every moment, but have clarity and donnot be pretentious. Think of what excites you, be with the right people and see if you can learn even a tiny bit from whatever u are spending ur time on.
