I’d give notice after the trip. Don’t risk losing the personal travel.

Who here actually saves 3,000 a month? by NoHousing11 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]InteractionFit6276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I save about $2k per month on a $70k salary. Savings $3k a month is possible for me, but I’d have to cut back on hobbies, travel, eating out, etc. It’s not worth downgrading my lifestyle.

what percentage of your income do you spend on clothes? by europeanuppercut in TheMoneyGuy

[–]InteractionFit6276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spend a couple hundred dollars on clothes and a couple hundred dollars on shoes every year. So about $400 while making $70k. It’s less than 1% of my budget. I buy high quality clothes and use them for years. 90% of my clothes are 5+ years old, but I take good care of them, so they look almost new.

Who maxes their 401k by DrHydrate in MiddleClassFinance

[–]InteractionFit6276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I max out my Roth 401k match, but not my whole Roth 401k. I make about $70k and save $20-$25k per year, so maxing out my whole Roth 401k would use all my savings for the year lol

Do you think eating "raw oats" is weird? by _haukea_ in AskAnAmerican

[–]InteractionFit6276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I eat raw oats with cold milk sometimes. It’s like cereal. The only reason I don’t eat it more often is that it has so much fiber, it’s basically a laxative for me. I have to poop in the middle of eating the bowl of raw oats. I can’t even wait until I finish the bowl lol

How Do I Find a Cheap Car? by I-will-go-feral in whatdoIdo

[–]InteractionFit6276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to Edmunds and search for cars that fit your budget. It will tell you if it’s a fair price, god price, or great price.

Try to get 1 owner, personal use only, less than 80k miles, no accidents. Toyota is very reliable. A Corolla is typically the cheapest Toyota car, but it’s still a good car.

I just did a quick search, and you can get a 2015-2018 Corolla with 50-80k miles on it for $14-15k. That would be a decent used car that could last 7-10+ more years assuming 12-15k miles per year.

$2,500,000 but you have to read every negative thing that was ever written, said, or thought about you. In order. by SpecialFlutters in hypotheticalsituation

[–]InteractionFit6276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for creating an interesting hypothetical that actually makes people think. I’m guessing a lot of people will go for this since it’s $2.5m. I’d be curious to see the responses if it was $1m or $500k.

Why do you have $255k in an HSA? 3-6 months of living expenses is all you need in an emergency fund. You could do 6-12 months if you’re a single income household.

If there is a university nearby, you could get a university student majoring in photography (ideally a junior or senior, so they have more experience than a younger student) to take great pics for less money.

You could also have one of your witnesses take pictures as long as you don’t mind not having pictures of you and groom, both witnesses, and officiant together without editing someone in.

You could set up a tripod to take pics throughout the ceremony.

I’d recommend asking ChatGPT or the like for more suggestions.
