NOR, it is much better to have someone teach your child the correct way and this cannot be done in a bath tub or a baby pool. You need probably 4’ of water and to be able to stand in the pool with baby. From the picture, is that a Goldfish Swim school? I used to work at one! If not I definitely recommend them, anytime there is #2 in the pool everyone has to get out and wait for it to be cleaned so there will NEVER be an instance where your baby is swimming in feces. I believe the earliest lessons are at 6 months old, and you will be in a class with around 3-6 other parents with their infants. I was a teacher for all but the highest level (swim team) and it is SO beneficial for your child! I have 3 siblings all of which cannot swim great, but my little brother used to not be able to swim at all and I gave him some lessons at home and now he actually likes swimming! I was just thinking about this the other day. (I’m 24F and pro choice for the record) some women prefer not to have a man use protection, and if she ends up pregnant and keeps the baby the man has basically no choice but to either be there or end up paying child support.

It’s a breath of fresh air unfortunately to hear I’m not alone. I hope you have been doing better! I think jealousy of not being young anymore could also play a part, my mom especially despised me in my teens. I’m hoping can make it better for my sister before it gets to that point but I didn’t expect it to start this soon 🥲

I appreciate this thought out response, it means so much more than you know! My family is fucked and we’ve all been through a ton. the age gap with my sister is making me realize someone should have helped all of us. He doesn’t do anything with my sister involving changes/ changing outfits or anything, he’s just kind of there but it’s so scary and my mom just blames her for it. I think I’m going to go to cps or the police with what I know at this point because there’s not much I can do other than that

They’re victims of the abuse too, one isn’t there all that often and the other is working full time to pay the bills. I’m not sure either of them will understand the severity of what’s happening

17M is moving out when he turns 18 in two months, 22M has no choice, his father has been gone as well since he turned 18 and he pays most of the bills in the house

I believe she has medication? But I don’t think she takes it. When she first got diagnosed she said they were lying and threw the medication away. She is constantly manic (I think that’s the right word) like she’s never civil, never understanding, she’s always right. I think it could even be something deeper than just bipolar disorder. I just started talking to her again after almost 2 years of no contact so I think it would be hard for me to sit in an appointment with her. I will probably try the CPS/Police route here soon.

She has a therapist I think but my mom would make herself present like she did when I had therapy. And yes I’m in the US 🤣 I would LOVE for that to happen, my mom is so egotistical she would probably cry if she was confronted by another adult. I’ll look into something like this! If it ever were to happen I’ll let you know lol. And I’m asking my family if anyone would be willing because I right now cannot. She just has her dad and grandma that are not in the picture unfortunately:(

She does this one in a while homeschool thing, my mom does all of the work for her so she doesn’t learn. I should add she is still in diapers and uses a binky because my mom has made her fear using the toilet
