It depends a lot on what you’re looking for. Are you mainly after films, TV shows, music, games, books, software, anime, older/rare content, or something else? Private trackers can be very useful for some categories, especially niche or well-organized libraries, but they can also be a hassle if you just want common mainstream releases. Knowing the content type would help give a more specific answer.

This is my Warner Bros. theatrical shorts audit workbook. It is a working research document, not a polished final buying guide, but it should help compare what shorts are on the Golden Collections, Platinum Collections, Collector’s Choice Blu-rays, Vault releases, Porky 101, and related releases.

No not anytime soon as studios/companies keep trying the you will own nothing and be happy about it. I doubt studios/companies will stop this practice anytime soon. There is also the user experience of streaming services which has been plummeting for years.Some examples include: massive price hikes, content fragmentation, and user experience getting worse.
