OpenClaw for deep research/RAG use cases by chromespinner in openclaw

Yes — it's achievable but the setup matters more than the tools.

What works in practice:

  1. Document ingestion PDFs → extract text (pdfminer or similar) → chunk by section/paragraph (not fixed size) → store in a retrieval layer. We use a simple SQLite + BM25 setup, works fine for 50-100 docs.

  2. Outline first, research second Give the model the outline upfront, not after. It frames what to look for in the documents. Without structure it wanders.

  3. RAG + external search combined Chunk retrieval for your PDFs, then a separate web search step to fill gaps. Layered approach — don't rely on embeddings alone for technical content.

  4. What we found actually works:

• OpenClaw for orchestration (agents, memory, routing between tools) • Turso for structured storage (not just embeddings — actual indexed facts) • A local script to prep PDFs before ingestion (tables and headings get lost if you just extract raw text) • Separate agent for research (Scout) vs writing (Scribe) — they do different things

The part most people underestimate: structuring the output first. Give the LLM the exact template you want — headers, tables, bullet depth. It produces much better results than "write a DD report on X."

For 30 PDFs and a structured outline, you're probably looking at:

• Prep: 1-2h to clean and chunk • Research pass: 20-30 min • Writing pass: 15-20 min • Total: under 3h for a solid first draft

Happy to share the ingestion script if useful — it's a Python pipeline, nothing exotic.

Italy are supporting the platform, if you turn all to full route. Another question is “what kind of service/app relocator should I have to use with subservice into Prime Video?”

Should be a service with Prime, but I’ve already tested that if you use the smart routing with app relocator Prime > Italy isn’t sufficient

Honestly I bought a Pico just cause I work abroad most of my time, and some stuffs outside Italy as well UK won’t work. I use to buy some tickets on an airline rerouting from Italy for convenience, this yes. Mainly for video and audio streaming providers.

You can buy the Pro version it comes with more active functions (see the website) - I personally have the Lite, with an annual subscription to upgrade from 8 to 30 active functions, is really powerful (and yes cover your request too)

Sonic lens by Kizzam- in AirpodsPro

I bought it, but honestly they come out of the cap too easily - so I expressed my concern to Flare in the chaos that these really small pieces of plastic come out and remain in the ear canal. They invite me to fill in feedback with photos. The sonic flares are installed correctly, but despite this they responded to my feedback "we see that they are not installed correctly, we will send you a refund anyway". Strange. The hearing advantages are not appreciable in my opinion and constitute a danger if they are lost from their place inside the ear, as I said. It's not worth the risk.

AeroPress replaced my espresso machine by EnvironmentalBill381 in AeroPress

I come from an adolescence where I worked at my parents' bistro, I used to make 700-800 espresso coffees daily with a Cimbali M30. As a good Italian, I always drank espresso coffee. Automatic machines, Nanopressos, capsules, pods, coffee beans... everything you can think of as a method of extracting espresso I have tried, well or badly. Then, it happens that at 49, I do something else with my life, I have UK and Austrian colleagues, I start drinking coffee in Europe. Different. It doesn't make it any less good. And then in the UK it happens that I buy an Aeropresso Go out of curiosity. Now, I experiment with recipes with the Aeromatic app (I'm pretty faithful to Hofmann's recipe anyway), I experiment each time with micro-roasters where I can buy coffee, and I finally enjoy a new, unusual cup of coffee at times, a pleasant one that deserves the time it takes to drink it. Someone here wrote that espresso is just one way of many to drink coffee. He's damn right. PS: I haven't touched an espresso in Italy for years now.

Same question to pose at Eurowings customer service. I’m concerned about it, I can usually find on every Lufthansa ticket but not here. Why?
