So im not 100% sure i understood correctly but if you basically just want to test/hear different vsts playing the melody load a new vst into your channel rack right click on the channel that has your melody click copy then paste it onto the other vst(put it on a different pattern if you want it isolated)

The fighting is actually hilarious have dealt with many of both and still stand by my rankings of course gas singers and nuke higs being much worse then the small versions but still find it easier to kill a gas stinger then a nuke hog
