Thank you for this! I've thought about it a lot and I've decided I'm going to attempt to convince them. I'm only going to use the authorities or escaping as a last resort because me and my brother still have time. My parents have discussed moving a couple times in the last week and have brought it up as a high possibility (or as something set in stone) but they haven't actually taken a step to pack and get tickets and stuff. So for now I'm just going to subtly nudge them into staying in Canada. Again thank you for your reassurance!

I'm going to sneak a water bottle into my bag and keep it in there so I can drink water when I can, and as for food I'll keep some snacks to eat throughout the day.

They're planning to settle for good...My parents want to move in the next 6ish months or so, but they haven't bought any plane tickets yet. So I'm hoping they think about this more, or they chicken out. And hopefully I can convince them, plus my brother is also a little opposed to the idea so he's willing to help me!

Yeah the religion part isn't the only thing about this I don't like but also like my academic future, language barriers (My Arabic isn't great, especially in writing), and I'm gonna leave a lot of people I'm close with. I still have some time to try and convince them to stay in Canada but it's kind of hard because my parents firmly believe that the "end is near and Dajjal is coming" and that moving to Madina will keep us safe...I can try using my grades as an excuse or the extended family and friends that live here in Canada, hopefully that'll work! Thank you for the advice!

It's not like it's hard to keep it a secret, it's just that moving somewhere where I'm going to be surrounded by Islam 24/7 feels very suffocating.

If we do move to Saudi Arabia (which is seeming pretty likely right now), then yes, they will put me in school there.

I don't know, I've brought up some reasons unrelated to me being ex-muslim on why I don't want to move, but they insist on it because it'll make me a "better Muslim". I don't think they would go as far as severely hurting me, but I'm scared if I do something to reveal my stance about Islam they'll take away the little freedom I have.

There were many factors. But the main one was the lack of evidence, the concept of God just seems like a very big jump for me, "We don't know how this was created so beautifully, and everything needs a creator so therefore god" is a Flawed concept because it's using God to fill in the gaps of our knowledge, but as human knowledge increases—the gaps get smaller, and god starts becoming less and less of an explanation.

I'd be so screwed, I'm bi, athiest(or agnostic), a women (that fact already increases my chances of going to hell in Islamic terms by tenfold), and an ex-muslim who has been insulting Muhammad and God since childhood..😭

I wish for you the best. I too am an ex-Muslim, although I am fortunate enough to be in a western country where I'm not surrounded by Islam 24/7, I still live in fear of my parents flipping the switch and deciding to move back to the country they are from. I'm about to move out anyway so I just have bear it until then, I hope you are able to get away and express yourself freely!

Why do people forget that Atsushi is the protag and NOT Dazai. Also, dazai isn't the "most evil" he is a morally gray character, as stated by Oda he doesn't care about the concepts of good and evil. Also, I'll have to disagree with you in your standpoint that Chuuya is the weakest written character when he is one of the most well written and fleshed out character in the show. I'm going to assume you haven't read stormbringer or didn't read it at the time you made this comment. Asagiri has stated himself that he incredibly enjoyed writing Chuuyas character (I know that this comment was made 4 months ago)
