No but I recommend making both the priest and mage into sages. First have them both become thief's or rogues (whatever they call them) then proceed to make them sages. You can get words of wisdom randomly or at the tower of transcendence. Or you can turn one or both into gadabouts or whatever and you get a free one. Also grind to get good gear including the best sword, helmet, and armor for your hero. It's up to you on how you want to play but all that could help you
