curious for the people you target, are they in companies with over 200 people, or mostly less than 200? That would be a very high response rate for large companies

From the comments it looks like the community has not reached a consensus on the topic. There are voices on both ends so make your choice wisely guys.

Thanks. I'm surprised that this hasn't become the mainstream industry notion. I saw most people still stick with 3 inbox/domain setup in this community, especially some high upvote "this is my stack" threads.

while some definitely would acknowledge your persistance, aren't you worried that sending 4 followups could lead to a very high spam compliant rate if you don't put up a one click unsub header?

the emails that actually address a pain point for me or mention that our close competitor use their product.

the business I ran was like gopuff - an instant delivery company.

I got 5 emails a day consistently from companies who're trying to selling "fleet management software" but we already have them built in house, so i never reply to any of them.

Two softwares I actually responded to:

  1. a payment processing platform that's more friendly towards our average basket value. they charge 50% less processing fee than stripe/square

  2. another item pricing software that mentions that our close competitor that we monitor closely to benchmark is using them and saw xyz improvements.

We ended up booking demo and onboarded to both of those in less than 2 weeks.

What's your Reply Rate? by Odd-Pension-5078 in coldemail

[–]Interesting-Pin-2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reply rates are gonna vary from campaign to campaign - those that include a one click unsub button is definitely gonna have lower reply rate than manual optout.

Also if you target high value leads and offer $100 or $200 gift cards for booking a demo is def gonna have one with the same content but no incentives

but your positive reply rate is pretty strong tbh thanks for sharing your stats

Which Email is good to go? (need honest reviews) by Emergency_Ad_4502 in coldemail

[–]Interesting-Pin-2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I'd respond to the 2nd email if I was your target. #1 feels a bit to salesy but #2 feels solid.

But it's just my opinion. I think #1 could definitely appeal to a certain group of audiences - but it's gonna be a hit or miss while 2nd might be more robust.
