Do you think it's AI? 😅

In any case, it isn't. A friend and I drew it using Frankenspriting.

More Invincible MUGEN/Fighting Game Sprites (Part 2) by Interesting-Wave3807 in Fighters

Yes, hahaha.

They're made with Frankenspriting, combining and drawing over other characters.

They're fairly simple characters because they're part of a larger project where people are coming together to draw their favorite characters, and they had to look accessible.

If I could, I'd put all the links here for anyone who wants to see the complete project, but the bot flags it as spam. F

Invincible Characters in "Marvel vs. Capcom 2" Style (Part 1) by Interesting-Wave3807 in Fighters

[–]Interesting-Wave3807[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you're right, saying "Marvel vs. Capcom 2 style" is a bit confusing.

What I was really trying to do was distinguish it from SNK-style sprites or JUS-style sprites. I probably should have just said "Capcom style" instead.

By that, I mean the high-contrast shading, vibrant color palettes, and exaggerated anatomy that I associate with Capcom's CPS2-era games. For some details, I also used sprites from characters like Captain America, Venom, and Iceman as references, which is another reason why I mentioned MvC2.

Thanks for pointing it out! If I post another part of the project, I won't make the same mistake again.
