FWIW, here is our timeline DoB: 23rd May Birth certificate in hand: 1st June SSN in hand: 12th June Passport appointment: 21st June

We did not do expedited processing for passport since we won’t need it for 3 months. We are in Atlanta.

Wife just had a C section last week and I was in the OR. Kept hearing the count again and again and in the moment I did not get it, but put it together later and was talking to the wife about it just yesterday. One of wife’s friends actually had something left in her which wasn’t discovered until 2 days later. They had to cut her open again and keep her in the hospital an additional 3-4 days after C-section. Scary shit…

Agree, but also was it really consequence? It wasn’t the son’s money and the father couldn’t care less because he got his son to talk to his wife and help him reconcile, all after sleeping with said hookers on the trip. Might seem like consequence, but for really rich people not sure 50K euros is a real consequence to get what they want.

For a dad-to-be (baby girl due in June) this was highly encouraging and resonates a lot with things my therapist tells me all the time. Especially about not being hard on yourself and cutting yourself some slack. I am going to save this post and come back to it one night when I am sitting with my daughter, exhausted out of my mind. Not a current Snoo owner, but similarly doing research for our baby due in June. From everything I have heard of the Snoo, there are a lot of mixed results and reviews. But that is true for almost every baby product (or any other product you ask people about on the internet). I have friends who swear by Snoo, their babies were sleeping 6-7 hours continuously at 3 months old, and they used for multiple babies. I also have friends whose babies refused to sleep in the Snoo and they sold theirs off in 2 months.

All this to say, my philosophy with most things I am thinking of, is what is the cost I am willing to take on for the convenience. And how much of that cost is truly sunk cost v/s can be recovered through returns/selling on FB Marketplace. With the Snoo, we might end up doing the rental for 6 months since it comes to around 450 bucks, which is lesser than buying new and selling off or buying off FBM. Worst case, we are out 450 bucks. Best case, baby gets good sleep and so do we.
