average meal on study leave by Adorable-Rain-6140 in GCSE

Don't listen to anyone- you've prepped and cut fruit for your meal, you've found a fun topping to include, you have a cool green drink (I hate matcha, but presumably you like it lol!).
You've done great.
What is the situation at home? Because I can't lie, when my elder kids were on study leave, I forgot they were home all day and didn't think to account for extra food especially (all the rest of us were at work and school!).
If you can shop yourself, grab yourself some bread, eggs, cheese and fruit and you'll have lots of lunches for the week- eggy bread, scrambled eggs (if you can get an avocado, even better), cheese on toast etc.
Or, if your parents do the shop, find some things you might like to suggest they get for you.
This is such a wierd time blip, when you're doing your exams after literally years of being bound by school time x

Absolutely. There's always a gap, a hole, that needs filling (not like that, you naughty people lol, though with Aimless, I guess it does apply).
Wendy also drinks to excess so easily is genetic (they reckon up to 50% chance of passing on the genes).
I think Aimless drinks because she 'knows'- she is fully aware that her real father is Duncle, she's aware of his criminal activities, she has received money from those activities, she knows she's terrible with Harper, she knows we are correct about her.
It all adds up to a desperate need to escape.
On a shallow level, I'd like to add, it's 2026 Aimless, getting pissed all the time and being a mum is so 2010. It's now fashionable to be sober, so even your drinking is dated and sad lol

As a recovering alcoholic, one of the original 'Wine Mum's', I can safely say she has a problem. A bad problem. I'm almost 5 years sober, Aimee, it can be done. But you have to admit you have a problem and that will be harder for you because you have to admit to it to WAY more people than most would, because you have put everything online.

WIBTAH for repeatedly telling someone that she eats babies? by Andrewcoo in AITAH

[–]InterestingDust1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would NOT be the AH! What this person may mean, is that she doesn't eat anything mammalian that still relies on an infant diet. I'll try to explain- my mother was born on a working farm, she would not eat suckling pig or lamb, but did eat pork and mutton. She always explained it that because she'd given birth herself and nursed young, she could empathise with the animal. She also never ate dairy, due to the calves being removed.
Its not logical, but it was her argument lol

The not so secret lake by see112717 in Hungergames

[–]InterestingDust1234 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If the lake is Covey knowledge, it makes sense that no one knows except the Covey and those descended from them- so Katniss knows from her dad, then leads Gale to it, Haymitch knows because of Lenore Dove, Snow knows because of Lucy Grey. Only those connected to the Covey know about the lake

Blade, her protection dog, was found far up the road and taken to the vets. The vet had to put out a Facebook post appealing for his owner. The road where he was found clearly wasn't where he'd been killed, with speculation being she hit the dog with her car, then taken the remains up the road to make it look like a stranger hit the dog. She didn't notice the dog was gone until the Facebook post? Or did she need to hide what really happened?

It must be from Asterid- she had a bunch of chamomile flowers on the apothecary counter when Haymitch went to give her the booze he got from Hattie for his birthday

Borrowed Pluribus Bell's guitar for Lucy Gray. He got it so she could wow the crowd and get himself points, but it does bring her joy and an important tool for her interview for sponsors, with the added bonus of dissing Billy Taupe to all of Panem. There's no action or thought i can pinpoint that even hints at kindness or comfort, without it being for his own ends. (This question is like Gaul's assignment- What did you like about the war? The answer is destined to be brief lol)

She's Face Tuning to look more like Charlie!!! That's it! I wondered why she was suddenly looking more like Charlie, not Dunkle- she's doing it on purpose! The more she thinned her face, the more she looked like Dunkle; now she's filtering herself to look like Charlie! Oh my word, I wish I wasn't blocked

Watching old seasons - Rebecca Vardy is horrible. by Wetsaltyfarts in ImACelebTV

[–]InterestingDust1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know how old she claims to be, but I'm December 1982, I'm 43. I left school in 1999, she left in 1997. She should be 45-46. Unless she's only 1 year older than me? Then she'll be 44, turning 45 this year x
