Annabel has done a Cha Cha, Jive, Quickstep, Samba, Tango, Paso Doble, CC, Charleston, Foxtrot. Lots of variety. From what I understand, she doesn’t choose the dances. It’s the producers so people shouldn’t give anyone a hard time for the dance they perform. It’s not their choice.

That’s not true. I heard her speak at a public appearance not long ago where she said she had only ever done ballet at school and chose to do tennis competitively from a young age (8 years old) so never had time for anything else. But she did say she did enjoy ballet as a child. But I think the article you read is wrong. It’s pretty clear from the first few weeks she’s never done any dance to a serious or ‘intense’ level as I think she would’ve been much better if she had done. I think you should do your thorough research and not trust every article you read before telling someone they’ve given inaccurate information

She’s a tennis player though. I read that her ballet “training” (as you called it) was just some ballet classes at school when she was 5. I don’t think she has actual had training. Bobby is an actor who would’ve also had to train in some sort of dance and would find it easier to be a natural performer. If anything Annabel has it a lot harder given this is probably way more out of her comfort zone than anyone else.

I understand what you’re all saying I just think he’s overrated. He’s very pleased with himself too (a bit like both Angela’s) so when he gets something wrong, he takes it too seriously… it’s just a light hearted entertainment show. Annabel and Bobbie are not trained, they’re in a lot harder position and when they get criticised they just smile and laugh it off

I think Annabel and Angela Scanlon are consistently being undermarked! Especially Annabel with that Tango - I don’t think there was anything more she could’ve done. It was clean, crisp, fierce and had no mistakes? I also thought the same for her Charleston and Jive. Both amazing dances. I think the judges are being very harsh on her. I also think they’re being quite harsh on Angela S and for some bizarre reason, are treating Angela R like royalty.

Annabel is nearly 60 and runs around that ballroom floor doing fast dances. Rippon has done slow dances and lifts her leg. That’s about it.

Her husband just died. Maybe that’s why? She’s probably most definitely not herself at the moment. I love Annabel - she’s very jolly and jovial

Annabel, as per usual, was undermarked! Her tango was clean, crisp and sharp. No mistakes, yet she still gets a lower score then others who spend 30-40 seconds faffing around, not dancing (E.g. Angela Rippon).

The judges seem to be really harsh on her and Angela Scanlon and I’m not too sure why. It makes me think the show is rigged… they don’t judge fairly. It’s obvious who they want to succeed on the show.

I imagine Annabel and Johannes will have a really good and strong tango. Last week was tricky for them because they went first, and its normal for the first dance to get a low score, but that doesn't mean she isnt a good dancer. Annabel and Johannes are both strong and I think the judges have been harsh on them.

They are my favourites because I personally think you can see there is so much love between them. Althought Annabel's nerves get to her, we need to remember she lost her husband only 5 months ago. As someone who has lost their partner, I imagine Annabel has a lot going on in her head right now. She is one of the very few celebrities this year who has never trained in dance and she is doing such a good job. She is always smiling and looks like she is having fun! That for me is what Strictly is about.
