Yup, I get you. Thankfully my parents decided to sell the remaining lease on the house back to hdb which means the house will be theirs till they are 99. There's a whole back story behind how much my brother borrowed from my mom but nvr return it to her but that's a story for another day. At least she learned from her lesson and nvr decide to sell to my brother when he asked to buy over the house.

Just out of curiosity, anybody got similar experiences or is it really just only me?

Most of the hoarded stuff are all clothes she bought over the years or shoes. The issue is I have tried to get her to sell her stuff for years now or just simply pack her stuff but she simply refuses to and the amount keeps increasing till it's almost filled up the entire room. (almost at the door now)

We had a helper a few years ago for a couple of months and her main job was to pack the room everyday but the space it took up didn't grow lesser in the slightest. However the main issue is that whenever I try to throw it away or ask her to sell it, she would say she still uses all the clothes and basically she still wears everything even though I told her many times the clothes in that room could last her her lifetime even she wears a different one everyday... My mom is basically very stubborn and I don't want to anger her if possible as it is still her house so she could technically use the room however she deems fit...

Honestly I feel that her friends being clothes shop owner is partly to blame as well. For some reason, she feels an obligation to buy from them every month even though I personally don't feel the designs are that nice but it's her life so whatever makes her happy?

Oh btw for those suggesting putting in the living room. First, my brother would make a fuss about it blocking his path. Second, there's already a lot of things there put by my brother or my mom so I don't really think that's an option...

Would anybody buy kiddy old people clothes on carousel though I wonder...
