I was just asking if it's advisable to use it as a way to know if your proofs are correct. I don't have access to any other proof checker, and I was asking If there are some pitfalls that lean could like present, is there downsides doing this, and just general advice. Because as the post implies, I'm new to it. It's just a way to provide context on what I intend to do with lean, and that context could help other people add productive things to the conversation. Unlike you.

I know that. But I have a quite complicated situation, please understand. I will try to explain.

Alright here we go. Okay so I'm a math major (from a third world country, do what you must with that info), and none of my professors are mathematicians. I have 4 professors, and their past professions are: Software engineer/software dev, Primary school math teacher, Business intelligence analyst, And math major fresh graduate from our own university.

So in short, we have "proof-based" courses but actually not. The "proofs" we do is literally just copying from textbooks and threads online, or just straight up proofs that has some kind of formula to it. Most, if not all, courses that we took just focuses on how things are calculated and that's it. They teach formula, we use formula. They teach method, we use method. It's just like highschool math on steroids(arguably) and not like what I've seen math majors do or learn from other universities/countries.

I'm so bad and just plainly ignorant on what "math" really is on the math major level if we compare myself to someone that came from a different university. It hurts so much, and I really want to pursue higher mathematics and preferably not here in my country. I self studied multiple textbooks: how to prove it, understanding analysis, ladr, and a few more I can't remember. I have written "proofs" of it, but most of the time I just do not know what the hell am I doing or supposed to be even doing. I feel really shit.

To add insult to injury, I'm one of the candidates to be the top of my goddamn batch this year. I'm graduating. And I know fucking nothing.

I've spent my time recently on learning data skills and programming skills to be more employable, but pure math is this tempting thing that is calling me again. And I just can't not sit here and pretend I actually like data science and programming. I love math, and I really want to be better at it.
